We Emigrated!

We got married!!!! On the 9th of September 2006 we got married at the Glenshee church in Scotland.

It was a fantastic day with superb weather and absolutely no hitches!  Pamela's maiden name is Scorgie and after much thought she decided that it was easiest to take the 'Walker' surname - although she will keep 'Scorgie' for her Yoga classes.  Shame really as Scorgie is quite a rare surname.  We had a great honeymoon in Fordyce Castle (we rented out the west-wing for a week) and pottered around Banffshire - again, the weather was great!

A few wedding related links:-

The Dalmunzie hotel
This hotel makes a mockery of the AA/RAC Star rating system. It is rated as 3-star, yet the service and quality was the best we have ever experienced anywhere in the world - and we have stayed in a lot of 'top-notch' hotels! I'm not going to bang on about it, just try it and see; they are not stuck-up and aloof, yet nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel relaxed and most of all, welcome!

The photographers pictures
Kelly and Peter were at the wedding to take the professional photo's.  There are some fantastic pictures; and some embarrassing one's (well, i'm English!  The English should not go wearing a kilt with only the wind around the Trossachs!).  Have a look round - enjoy!  Oh, and the two 'men-in-black' are the Directors of the renowned Software Testing company nFocus.

Fordyce Castle
This is where we stayed for a week as guests of Baron & Lady Fordyce.  A relaxing and very quiet place in the middle of rolling countryside and a mile from the coast.  It was a fab base while we explored places such as the Findhorn Foundation (bit weird, but great veggy food!), Bin Hill (great views!!!), Elgin (no marbles!!), Pennan (location for 'Local Hero' - which Mat has never heard of!) and the local restaurants of very varying quality (one place, which is supposed to be 'good', tried giving us risotto which had been rolled in breadcrumbs and deep-fried!).  All in all, a great honeymoon!!
